What is Jeuveau™?
Clostridium botulinum bacteria naturally create a chemical that has a unique ability to temporarily interfere with how messages in the body are sent and received by nerves. When this chemical, known as a neuromodulator, is properly purified and injected into a muscle, it reduces that muscle’s ability to contract—even when a signal comes from the brain.
Jeuveau™ is specifically used for inhibiting contractions in the glabellar area, which sits directly between the eyebrows. When these muscles engage, they pull the surrounding skin into small folds known as frown lines.
By keeping the muscles at rest, Jeuveau™ prevents moderate to severe frown lines from forming. The glabellar area stays smooth, even as other muscles on the face work to convey the desired expression.

Dr. Happe’s extensive experience in pain minimization influences every session. While you will likely feel a small pinch or pressure where the Jeuveau™ is injected into the muscle, every step is taken to not only ensure the medication is going where it will be most effective, but also to keep stress and discomfort to a minimum.
Results will be visible within a couple of days after the injections, with activity fading in the glabellar muscles until they sit at rest. Women and men who choose Jeuveau™ often see their ideal results in about 30 days, with the smooth look lasting for months. Eventually, the effects wear off. Three to four treatment sessions a year can work well to provide an ongoing youthful look.
What Complements Jeuveau™?
